You are invited to contribute to a policy discussion that will help to shape the future of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) policy in the Return to Work scheme.
Since 2018, the landscape of NIHL claims and costs has significantly changed, prompting ReturnToWorkSA to engage with stakeholders such as yourself in a strategic review.
We need your insights to identify policy changes that aim to:
- reduce the risk of work-related NIHL
- improve NIHL services and support for injured workers, including addressing barriers to accessing services and making a claim
- streamline the management of NIHL claims
- lower the number of disputes related to NIHL claims
- improving forecasting of scheme performance and liabilities.
Your voice is important to helping us create a safer and more supportive environment for all workers.

We have prepared a consultation brief for you to review and provide feedback on, which includes a policy concept for you to provide feedback on. This consultation process will be used to develop a report to the Minister on NIHL.
