The consent form (gazetted on 29 November 2024) pursuant to Section 17A(2)(a) of the Return To Work Act 2014 is attached and is also available on our website.
Attendance while a worker is physically or clinically examined, or treated, by a health practitioner or undergoing any diagnostic examination or test without consent is prohibited. However, nothing prevents an employer or the Corporation from being present during an arranged consultation involving the worker and a health practitioner for the purposes of discussing the worker's recovery and return to work.
We encourage self-insurers to update process and practice and consider ReturnToWorkSA’s Work Injury Guide for Medical Practitioners for more information on working with medical practitioners.
