Help make our data beta website even better!

Safe Work Australia is proud to announce the beta release of our new data website, https://data.safeworkaustralia.gov.au.

The new website delivers national work health and safety and workers’ compensation data in an intuitive, user-friendly way.

Explore data collected by Safe Work Australia on work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses.”Using PowerBI dashboards, users can create their own tables, discover graphs and charts that allow sorting data by industry, occupation, year, mechanism of injury and more.

Beta version
Releasing a beta or prototype of the website allows us to test and improve the website before an official launch in the coming months when a wider set of data will be made available and other site improvements actioned.
The beta site includes:

  • two interactive industry snapshots (agriculture and road transport); and
  • interactive datasets
         - work-related fatalities
         - workers’ compensation, and
         - prosecutions.

The published reports on the Safe Work Australia website are the official data sources for WHS and workers’ compensation information. We are testing a beta data website which may show minor differences to the published reports as we make improvements to data collection and methods.

Please visit the website and fill out the short online questionnaire. Feedback can also be emailed to statsonline@swa.gov.au

Safe Work Australia develops and maintains an evidence base to inform WHS and workers' compensation policy and practice. The data website represents an important step in making our national data publicly available and easy to access. See our Data Sharing Policy for more.
