Partnering for OHS

A

Tuesday 3 May 2011

The three-year Partnerships Programme, funded by the South Australian Government, aimed to increase the use of elected HSRs in industry in order to improve OHS. The University of SA, with funding from SafeWork SA and Safe Work Australia, is now undertaking research to evaluate the Partnerships Programme. It will also investigate the role and impact (both positive and negative) of HSRs on OHS. The research will provide insight into the nature of worker representation in OHS and will inform the decisions about OHS by policy makers, and the regulator. It will also identify future research needs.

Participation is voluntary. This research has been approved by the University of South Australia’s Human Research Ethics Committee. It is aimed at seeking information from OHS managers, HSRs and workers via questionnaires that will be sent in hard copy and will be available on line at  www.harrisonresearch.com.au/8309.htm
