9th Comparative Performance Monitoring Report released

A

Friday 22 February 2008

The Workplace Relations Ministers' Council has released the 9th Report on the comparison of OH&S and workers compensation schemes in Australia and New Zealand.

The key findings include:

  • SA recorded a drop of 14% in claims incidence between the 2000-01 to 2002-03 base period and 2005-06, although this was slightly short of the 16% target.
  • the Australian standardised average premium rate stands at 1.96% of payroll in 2005-06, well below the SA rate.
  • In 2005-06 the average funding ratio stood at 115%, well above that of SA.
  • SA was again the only scheme that did not report an improvement in RTW rates.

The report can be found in the Reference Tools section of the Document Library under the Resources tab above.
